cervelo caledonia

Cervélo stripped the Caledonia back to essentials for the Force AXS, and it's the smarter bike for it—external seatpost clamp, separate bar and stem, threaded bottom bracket. But at £5,250, it's still £1,000 more than a Canyon Endurace SLX 8 Di2 with equivalent kit.
The Force AXS undercuts Cervélo's own Caledonia-5 by £2,300 with the identical SRAM Force AXS groupset and Reserve wheels, proof the flagship's integrated design was charging a premium for complexity nobody needed. That's the right call on engineering. But shedding the integration doesn't shed enough price to beat the Canyon Endurace SLX 8 Di2 or the Ribble Ultra-Road Pro at £4,299, leaving the Caledonia stuck between the value tier and the bikes it used to justify costing more than.
