Wilier's new Filante SL borrows the tube shapes and "racing spirit" of the WorldTour Filante SLR, priced from €5,100. What it doesn't inherit is proof: the Filante SLR ID2 earned its aero claims in the Silverstone wind tunnel against five rival bikes, and no such testing exists for the SL.
The Filante SLR ID2, raced by Groupama-FDJ, claims a 2.42% average speed advantage over five other WorldTour bikes and a 13.6% drag reduction versus its predecessor — numbers backed by wind-tunnel data. Wilier markets the Filante SL as sharing that model's forms and lines, but has published no comparative aero testing of its own. Same silhouette, unverified performance.
