Adrien Boichis and Laura Stigger claim XCC world titles in Italy
Alex Hunt
Boichis and Stigger both won by less than a wheel, and neither result was a fluke — it's what a full season of XCC dominance looks like when it comes down to a sprint. Boichis arrived at Val di Sole already leading the 2026 XCC World Cup with three wins; the rainbow jersey just confirms who owned the discipline all year.
Boichis out-sprinted Charlie Aldridge by a bike length after riding at or near the front for nearly the whole 11-lap race, a year after winning the U23 XCC title in 2025 — a rapid step up. Stigger's win over Evie Richards was even tighter, decided by a tyre's width, with Sina Frei a second back for bronze. Margins that thin, repeated at the top of a discipline all season, say more about how XCC is contested now than any single result does.
