Chad Haga broke his arm in December 2024, one week into restarting his second gravel season. No "heartbroken" quote or career-ending statement backs the headline — what's on record is Haga calling this his worst setback yet, and framing it as a challenge.
This isn't Haga's first brush with a body-ending crash. In 2016 he needed over 90 stitches after a head-on training collision in Spain — and came back to win a Giro d'Italia stage in 2019. He turned pro in gravel in 2024 off a 12-year road career, then went straight to second at Unbound Gravel 200 and third at The Traka 360. Betting against him on a broken arm looks premature given that history.
