Cherie Pridham is leaving UAE Team L'IMAD for Human Powered Health after four years building the program. She's not going alone: Dave Povall, an assistant sports director at the team in 2026, is joining her at Human Powered Health after a decade out of management entirely.
Pridham became the first woman ever to serve as directeur sportif in a men's WorldTour team before joining what's now UAE Team L'IMAD in 2024. Her exit follows the departure of Mavi García as part of what the team's own roster history shows as three straight years of sweeping changes. A rival team pulling not just its head of sport but a second staffer who'd been away from the sport for ten years isn't a coincidence — it's a program losing the people it built.
