Cofidis sign Guerra through 2028 on late-season road form

Cofidis have signed Gabriela Guerra, a two-time Esports World Championships runner-up, on a two-year deal running through 2028. Sporting manager Raphaël Jeune acknowledges the uncertainty and is betting on her determination and late-season road form. The tests he names are adapting to professional racing, performing across successive race days and working for teammates.
What this means
Cofidis describe Guerra as their fifth recruit for next season. She is due to race outdoors for them in 2027.
Guerra is 32 and due to race outdoors for Cofidis in 2027. Guerra joined the German Continental team Wheel Divas on 31 August 2026. In September 2026 she won two one-day races: the Müller – Die lila Logistik Cycling Bundesliga race, attacking about 60 km from the finish and holding the chasers off by 53 seconds, and the 110 km Mirabelle Classic, soloing to victory 1 minute 3 seconds clear of Émilie Morier. Those are single days. Jeune's own list of open questions is about what comes after one: successive race days and work for others. Guerra frames it the same way: «I'm very curious and really excited about joining Cofidis. I want to find out whether I can transfer my strengths from e-cycling to the road»
