Ezra Caudell, 19, remains in intensive care after flying full force into a lamppost at the Philadelphia Cycling Classic 2026. Doctors have him in an induced coma, and until they bring him out of it, nobody can say how badly his brain was damaged.
Milan Menten, who was riding alongside Caudell when it happened, says lungs and bones are already confirmed damaged — but it's the brain that has doctors worried most. That answer won't come until he's revived from the coma. Caudell was making his debut for Modern Adventure Pro Cycling, and had been the youngest rider on the Paris-Roubaix 2026 start list at 19 years and 216 days.
