On Renewi Tour 2026 Stage 1, Milan edged Olav Kooij in a photo-finish sprint to claim the leader's jersey. Stage 2 brought a massive crash 67km from the finish—and Milan, along with defending champion Arnaud De Lie, went down hard. The impact ejected him from the front group. The peloton lapped him; under UCI rules, he was pulled from the race. Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Premier Tech) took the stage win.
