Italy won their first-ever mixed relay TTT title, beating France by eight seconds in Montreal. The margin wasn't built by the men and defended by the women — Guazzini, Trinca Colonel and Longo Borghini extended Italy's lead to 16 seconds clear of France at the final check, turning what's often treated as a handoff leg into the deciding one.
Ganna, Sobrero and Cattaneo set the fastest men's split, 11 seconds up on France. But the race was still open at the exchange — it was the women's trio that stretched the gap before the finish, doing more to win the title than defend it. Defending champions Australia, winners of the past two editions, finished fourth, 40 seconds back. Switzerland took bronze, 19 seconds behind Italy, despite Stefan Küng breaking his handlebars and losing contact with the men's group early on.
