Stage 2 in Manosque was a rising finish; stage 5 into Roquetes came off the Alto de Paüls, a punchy climb inside the final 20km that reshuffled the sprint field entirely. Brennan beat Jordi Meeus and Vincenzo Albanese there, having beaten a different set of sprinters on a different terrain three days earlier. Team Visma | Lease a Bike built both wins the same way — Wout van Aert orchestrating position all day, Christophe Laporte delivering the final lead-out — but the finishes themselves demanded two distinct skill sets.
