Orbea is using the Vuelta a España 2026 to make a pointed brand argument: the same MyOrbea Custom configurator any customer uses at home was good enough to design eight individual WorldTour race bikes. There is no secret pro tool — just the one on the website.
Each of Lotto-Intermarché's eight Orbea Orca Aero bikes for the Vuelta was configured through MyOrbea Custom, the public-facing online tool, not a bespoke internal process. The designs split evenly between tinted Carbon Raw Gloss finishes and full-color paint — all built and assembled at Orbea's Basque Country headquarters in Mallabia. The practical trigger was mundane (the team's standard red clashed too closely with the Vuelta leader's jersey), but the strategic message is deliberate: pro and consumer equipment now share the same origin story.
