Pogačar went off his line on a corner descending El Bartolo with 15km left, then still won stage 6. That recovery says more about him than the sprint that followed—at this speed, on that gradient, there's no margin for a wobble, and he had one anyway.
Stage 6 packed nearly 3,000 metres of climbing into a route that topped out at El Bartolo with just 20.7km to go, ramps pushing toward 20% before dropping into a fast, technical run to Castelló. Pogačar had already opened the winning gap on the climb with Enric Mas, so the near-crash on the descent came with the stage already in hand—and he still corrected it clean. Third stage win of this Vuelta, and now one that includes proof he can survive his own mistakes at speed.
