Roglič declined Lotto-Intermarché and Visma is out too

Cyclingnews, citing Het Laatste Nieuws, reports that Lotto-Intermarché is no longer an option for Primož Roglič, alongside Visma-Lease a Bike. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Lotto-Intermarché had offered him a contract, which he declined. Asked at Il Lombardia about riding on in 2027, he said: «I don't know it yet. We will see. We will see.»
What this means
Lotto-Intermarché joins Visma-Lease a Bike on the list of teams no longer in the running for Roglič. Cyclingnews states that the three teams previously linked to him still have roster space open, and he has confirmed no 2027 team.
Het Laatste Nieuws reported on 28 October that talks between Roglič and Visma-Lease a Bike had been called off. The new part is the other door: Lotto-Intermarché offered, and Roglič said no, per the same outlet. Its sporting manager Kurt Van de Wouwer had said in August that Roglič would be «more than welcome». Cyclingnews notes Roglič is the last major rider without a 2027 contract and that retirement remains on the table. He is 37, finished second at the Vuelta a España 2026 and won the European time trial title in 2026.
