Sandra Alonso signed with LABORAL Kutxa-Euskadi for 2027, less than a year after giving birth in December 2025. She's not arguing motherhood and elite cycling coexist — she's rebuilding a WorldTour case with podiums, then a contract.
Alonso finished 10th at Paris-Roubaix in 2022, a historic Spanish result, then crashed out the following year with a broken collarbone. Ceratizit's closure after 2025 left her without a team regardless of the pregnancy, so her 2026 season with Eneicat-BeCall — third at GP Ciudad de Eibar, bronze in the national time trial — did double duty: proving fitness and rebuilding a market position. Paris-Roubaix is back on her list for LABORAL Kutxa, not as a symbolic return but as unfinished business from 2023.
