Seixas may start 2027 without naming his next team

Paul Seixas said on RMC that he has not decided where he will race after 2027 and may start that season without announcing anything. In July he told L'Équipe he still had time. Now he calls the debate «increasingly oppressive».
What this means
Decathlon CMA CGM has restructured its employment set-up and signed riders for 2027 while Seixas has not decided.
Seixas spoke on RMC's 'SuperMoscato Show' on 26 October, and added that he can't «just decide at the last minute». Decathlon CMA CGM is trying to keep him. Its management company moved to Switzerland to employ riders as contractors, which the team says will save on French tax and social security and let it offer more pay. It has also signed Ben O'Connor and Pavel Sivakov for 2027. Several teams are reported to be pursuing him, with Visma-Lease a Bike and UAE Team Emirates-XRG named as destinations outside France and Netcompany-Ineos also linked. UAE team manager Mauro Gianetti said he would not say no if Seixas asked to join. Seixas's contract runs to the end of 2027.
