Stage 4 from Llanidloes to Hay-on-Wye is less a GC contest than a coronation — Le Court-Pienaar takes 26 seconds of lead and the hardest climbing of the race into the final day with only Lippert and Wiebes mathematically capable of stopping her.
After a solo attack with 2.6 km to go on The Great Orme, Le Court-Pienaar finished 13 seconds clear of Lippert and 20 ahead of Caroline Andersson — a margin that now defines Stage 4 before it starts. The queen stage packs 2,500 m of climbing across 138 km but no summit finish, meaning any challengers must manufacture the time on the road rather than at the line. If Le Court-Pienaar holds, she becomes just the third African rider to win a UCI WorldTour stage race, and the first from outside South Africa.
