Swiss Side claims 8.1 watts saved at 45km/h with its GRAVON 500, and FLO Cycling claims 11 watts over a shallow box rim for the G700 and G650. ENVE's own guidance says the aero advantage disappears past 33mm tyres, and a wheel engineer told Rene Herse it's hard to imagine aero benefits past 32–35mm at all.
Modern gravel racing runs 40mm+ tyres, exactly where that engineer says the aero case falls apart. Yet FLO Cycling built the G700 and G650 around 37-47mm tyres, and SRAM's Zipp 303 XPLR SW targets 40-60mm — both claiming double-digit watt savings that contradict ENVE's own tyre-width warning. Swiss Side's 8.1-watt figure for the GRAVON 500 came from its own tunnel, not an independent one. Nobody selling deep gravel wheels agrees on the tyre width where the physics stops working.
