TotalEnergies signs Pardus but is still off the UCI list

Team TotalEnergies announced Pardus as its bike supplier from 2027, replacing Cube, in a three-year deal running through 2029. The team was left off the UCI's 2027 list, which carried 12 ProTeams against 14 applications. The supplier is one more box ticked in a licence application that is still open.
Pardus will be a "material sponsor" for the UCI Pro Team, the U19 and the U23 squads. The team says it will keep working to finalise its ProTeam application for 2027. Jean-René Bernaudeau said the bank guarantee was in and the ethical and banking requirements met, but the budget still had to be finalised and submitted. Cyclingnews calls the Pardus deal promising because the team is still searching for a replacement title sponsor. Kern Pharma, Flanders-Baloise and Euskaltel-Euskadi were also missing from the list. The press release itself says the structure is still consolidating its 2027 budget. Its 2027 ProTeam status is still unconfirmed, and the budget and title sponsor are still open.
