12GO Biking buys Accell's Dutch bike inventory, keeps it off the open market

12GO Biking has bought the entire Dutch inventory of bankrupt Accell Group — tens of thousands of Batavus, Sparta, and Koga bikes. Rather than clearing stock wherever it's fastest, the retailer built a separate B2B portal, Tweewielerportal.nl, specifically to keep those bikes inside the professional dealer network.
Accell filed for insolvency on August 7, 2026, after a sale to DuTech Group collapsed. 12GO Biking director Pieter van den Berg says the deal exists to stop large quantities of bikes from leaving the professional bike dealer channel — the opposite of a discount flood. The transaction covers inventory only; it's separate from the ongoing sale of Accell's brands and IP, which still has dozens of bidders circling.
