12GO Biking buys Accell's Dutch bike stock, not the brands

Dutch retailer 12GO Biking has bought the Dutch bike inventory of bankrupt Accell Group — tens of thousands of finished bikes from Batavus, Sparta and Koga. The deal carries no brand rights to any of those three names. It's a liquidation of warehouse stock, not a rescue of the brands themselves.
What this means
Batavus, Sparta and Koga bikes already in the distribution pipeline will keep reaching dealers and consumers with normal warranty cover, even though the three brand names remain unsold and unclaimed.
12GO Biking will push the bikes out through a B2B portal, Tweewielerportal.nl, and its own website, with standard warranty and consumer protection intact for buyers. That keeps the physical product moving while the names Batavus, Sparta and Koga stay unresolved inside the bankruptcy estate. Around 60 parties have told liquidators they're interested in Accell's assets, some after single brands, some after the whole portfolio. 12GO Biking's deal settles none of that — it clears inventory while the brands themselves still wait for someone to actually buy them.
