Castelli replaces Santini across all ASO races from 2027

Castelli has been announced as ASO's new kit partner, making jerseys and other kit for all 27 of its professional races and amateur challenges. It takes over from Santini, which has supplied the Tour de France and associated races since 2022, and its jerseys are due from the 2027 season. The change runs across the whole ASO calendar, and the Castelli scorpion returns to the yellow jersey from 2027, the first time in more than 30 years.
What this means
Santini, the supplier since 2022, no longer holds the ASO kit contract, and Castelli takes over the full ASO calendar from the 2027 season. Cyclingnews understands that RCS Sport will no longer use Castelli for the Giro d'Italia jerseys.
The deal covers the Tour de France, Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, the men's and women's Vuelta a España, Paris-Nice, Tour Auvergne Rhône Alpes, Volta a Catalunya, l'Etape du Tour and the Paris-Roubaix Challenge, and extends to all sub-classifications in all races. Castelli made the yellow jersey between 1989 and 1994, when Greg LeMond won two Tours and Miguel Indurain four. Santini drew criticism at the recent Vuelta a España when riders were forced to cut their shorts, which they said was due to insufficient sizes being available. Steve Smith called it «This is a truly monumental moment in Castelli's 150-year history». Yan Le Moënner, CEO of ASO, said: «Once again, history meets the future. Castelli's experience and expertise ensure that our leading riders will be equipped with products that meet the highest standards of quality.» Cyclingnews understands that RCS Sport, organiser of the Giro d'Italia, will no longer use Castelli for its jerseys.
