Liv-AlUla-Jayco sign Chapman for 2027–28, due in April 2027
Liv-AlUla-Jayco announced Brodie Chapman on a two-year deal for 2027 and 2028. She is pregnant with her first child, due April 2027. The team says Chapman has her eyes on the individual time trial at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, and that it will assist her on and off the bike.
What this means
Stroetinga expects her Classics strength to boost the team's lineup.
The team's medical and coaching staff will work with Chapman during the pregnancy and collect data on pregnancy in high-performance athletes. GreenEDGE Cycling expects her to target a return to racing later in the 2027 season. Head directeur sportif Wim Stroetinga said the team is «committed to giving her all the support she needs as she targets the individual time trial at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.» Chapman, 35, is completing the second season of her UAE Team ADQ contract. She cited «security and unmatched support towards my time trial ambitions» as her reason for signing. She also said the reaction from GreenEdge Cycling management «exemplifies what should be the status quo in its structure and considerations for female professional athletes.»
