Söderqvist wins Eneco Tour prologue, 1.4 s ahead of Laporte

Jakob Söderqvist (Lidl-Trek) won the Eneco Tour 2026 prologue in The Hague in 3:32 and took the first leader's jersey. Defending champion Christophe Laporte is third, 1.4 seconds back, so the defence starts from behind.
What this means
Söderqvist leads the Eneco Tour with Laporte 1.4 seconds behind him.
Söderqvist finished third overall last year and is described in a preview as the most improved rider in the field. Wessel Mouris (Unibet Rose Rockets) took second, 0.7 seconds back, and Laporte (Visma-Lease a Bike) was 1.4 seconds back in third. Ethan Hayter (Soudal-QuickStep), who won last year's prologue, was fourth. Laporte won the 2025 stage race overall, and Visma also brings Edoardo Affini and Victor Campenaerts as overall options. The prologue was 3.1 km, ridden at night with men and women starting in alternating waves.
