Head circumference stays identical across both shells — 51 to 59cm either way. What changes is shoulder width, because POC built the Sonal to manage airflow over the rider's whole body rather than just the head. That's a fit variable no helmet has sized around before, and it's the point: the elongated front is there to shape the high-pressure zone ahead of the shell so air gets guided over the shoulders and back, not just around the skull. EF Pro Cycling's Andreas Klier said the team «wanted to develop something faster than the Tempor that would benefit even more riders» — the two-width split is how POC tries to make one aero philosophy fit different bodies instead of forcing one shell shape on everyone.
