Scarab's Letras is the lightest frame in the Colombian builder's lineup, and Santiago Toro's own rim-brake build — 7.2 kg complete — is the sharpest argument that the steel weight penalty is largely a design choice, not a material constraint. The front triangle runs Kaisei tubing, the rear Columbus, and the geometry is tuned toward responsiveness rather than platform stiffness. At $3,400 for the disc frameset with a Ritchey carbon disc brake fork included, it targets riders who want a custom climbing bike built to their geometry — and are willing to wait 12 weeks for it.
