Scott Addict Gravel now clears 57mm — built around the tire, not for it
The New Scott Addict Gravel Boasts Big Tires and Stable Geometry
Logan Jones-Wilkins
Tire clearance57 mm
Stock tire width50 mm
Rear triangle compliance+60% vs previous gen
Front-end compliance+30%
Weight (HMX top model)7.8 kg
57mm of clearance means the new Addict Gravel swallows 2.2-inch MTB rubber, standard. That's not a tolerance for oversized tires — Scott built the geometry, slack head angle, and low bottom bracket around 50mm as the baseline width. The 60 percent compliance gain in the rear triangle comes from a slimmer seat tube and lowered seat stays, not just wider rubber cushioning the ride. This is a bike engineered for the wide-tire era, not a road-derived frame stretched to fit one.
