Häberlin leaves SD Worx-Protime for Canyon-SRAM on two-year deal

Swiss road champion Steffi Häberlin has signed a two-year contract with Canyon-SRAM for the 2027 season. She leaves Team SD Worx-Protime after two seasons there, and will enter her third season in the Women's WorldTour alongside new teammates Jasmin Liechti and Zoe Bäckstedt.
Häberlin's 2026 season included a win at the Tour de Gatineau — her first international professional victory — a 13th-place finish at the World Road Championships in Montréal, and a successful defense of her Swiss national road title over Marlen Reusser. She also placed 6th overall at the Tour de Suisse Women, 8th at the UAE Tour, and 2nd at the Festival Elsy Jacobs. Canyon-SRAM performance director Dan Fleeman described her as a strong climber with a very good aerobic engine and consistent ability to stay competitive in long, physically demanding races. Häberlin said Canyon-SRAM is "an ambitious team" that still keeps "the human side of the sport" intact, and praised the team's support for "the next generation through the Generation team". Fleeman added that he believes "Steffi has more to unlock in terms of how she uses her climbing strengths in racing," pointing to positioning and decision-making as areas for growth with more experience.
