Isaac del Toro says he just has to "be smart" heading into Montreal. His résumé says otherwise: a Tour de France podium and a Giro d'Italia runner-up finish, at 22, with a Worlds course built for climbers.
Del Toro finished third overall at the 2026 Tour de France on his Grand Tour debut, then backs it with a 2025 Giro second place and the white jersey. He's ranked #4 in the world with 1810 UCI points. That's not a rider hedging out of modesty — that's a rider whose caution doesn't match his own numbers.
