Look's G85 Cezal RS trims 200g with high-modulus carbon

Look has launched the G85 Cezal RS, a race-oriented update to the G85 Cezal all-rounder it released in April 2026. The RS uses High Modulus carbon fibre, cutting 200 grams off the standard frame for a claimed medium-size weight of 1,000 grams including hardware. Look says the layup also boosts bottom bracket stiffness by 19% and headtube stiffness by 20% over the standard G85 Cezal, with the headtube now said to be stiffer than the Look Blade RS3 road bike.
The G85 Cezal RS shares its geometry with the standard G85 Cezal, keeping non-dropped seatstays and a round seatpost. Tyre clearance runs to 57mm up front and 50mm at the rear, or 45mm with a double chainset. Look claims the rear seatstays filter 15% of vibrations. Look describes the bike as «engineered specifically for riders seeking precision, reactivity and speed across medium and long distances». The frameset retails at €3,290 and includes a Token T47 bottom bracket, flat-mount brake hardware and a Look LS1 27.2mm seatpost. Two complete builds are offered: a SRAM XPLR version at €6,990 with a 40-tooth chainring, Fulcrum Sharq C25 wheels, Hutchinson Touareg Race 45mm tyres and Deda Superzero bar and stem at a claimed 8.3kg, and a Red XPLR version at €8,990 with a 44-tooth aero chainring, Look Aero stem and RS 3 handlebar at a claimed 7.9kg. Look calls the range a «competition-ready setup for 99% of race scenarios». Gravel racer Russell Finsterwald, who helped develop the bike, rode a prototype to a top 20 finish at Traka 360 earlier in 2026.
