Magnus Sheffield signs four-year deal with Uno-X Mobility

Magnus Sheffield has signed a four-year contract with Uno-X Mobility through 2030, leaving Netcompany Ineos after five seasons. He is Uno-X Mobility's first rider from a country other than Norway and Denmark, and Uno-X is framing the move around his Norwegian mother and his Norwegian as much as his results.
What this means
Netcompany Ineos loses all three of its US riders for 2027: Sheffield to Uno-X Mobility, AJ August to Pinarello Q36.5, and Artem Shmidt to NSN Cycling. Netcompany Ineos has announced double junior world champion Benjamin Noval as their only new signing so far.
General manager Thor Hushovd called Sheffield "a rider with enormous potential," pointing to his fourth place in Paris-Nice and sixth in the Tour of Flanders as evidence of his range. But in the same breath, Hushovd pivoted to heritage: Sheffield's Norwegian mother, his time spent in Norway, and the fact that he speaks the language — "an important part of the identity we have built as a team," in Hushovd's words. That dual pitch matters because Sheffield is Uno-X Mobility's first rider from a country other than Norway and Denmark. Sheffield himself cited the environment over the results: "I've heard from both riders and staff that Uno-X genuinely feels like a family." He arrives alongside three other incoming riders — Casper Pedersen, Felix Ørn-Kristoff, and Kristian Egholm — as Uno-X Mobility builds its 2027 roster.
