McNulty signs through 2030 — still riding for Pogačar
McNulty signed a contract extension through 2030 with UAE Team Emirates-XRG, and will keep riding as a domestique for Pogačar despite becoming world champion. The rainbow jersey changes his autumn racing schedule but not his job inside the team.
What this means
McNulty's status inside UAE Team Emirates-XRG is unchanged by the world title — the jersey earns him a tailored autumn programme, not a promotion to leader.
What changes is visible in October: an Italian classics block built around him personally, up to seven races from Giro dell'Emilia through Veneto Classic, with Il Lombardia among his stated targets in the jersey. The team's hierarchy stays fixed even as its calendar bends to fit its new champion.
