Roglič wins Euro TT title blind, radio dead from km one

Primož Roglič won the elite men's time trial at the 2026 UEC European Road Championships in Šenčur, his first European road title. His radio died in the first kilometre, so he rode the rest of the course on feel alone, beating Bruno Armirail by six seconds. Pogačar's season had been ended by a crash at the Vuelta a España, and the field was also missing Remco Evenepoel, Filippo Ganna and Paul Seixas.
What this means
Roglič's win gives Slovenia a medal after the first 13 events of the championships had produced none and only four top-10 finishes.
Maxime Decomble took third, 22 seconds further back. Slovenia had gone the first 13 events of the championships without a medal and with only four top-10 finishes before this result. «I didn't have my radio… I was completely lost, just did it on my feelings. But I definitely just put everything on the road, and luckily it was enough,» Roglič said.
