Tom Pidcock walked away from Ineos Grenadiers three years early to join second-tier Q36.5. In less than two seasons there he's taken 15 road wins and a third place at the 2025 Vuelta a España, against just five road wins in four years at Ineos.
Pidcock calls it «probably the best decision I've ever made in my career». At Q36.5 he found what he says Ineos didn't offer: «the thing about here is their belief in me, that shared kind of vision of success and also… the freedom of being able to race my bike». That freedom shows up in the results — his first Grand Tour GC finish came in his first full season away from a WorldTour team, not in one.
