Žigart Fractures Jaw Again, Season Likely Over
Urška Žigart fractured her jaw a second time in a Stage 3 crash at Faun Tour Femmes. AG Insurance-Soudal says the repeated nature of the injury likely ends her 2026 season. She was sitting third overall at the time, three months removed from the same fracture at Tour de Suisse Women.
Žigart avoided surgery on the first fracture in June because the break stayed aligned, and she returned to racing within six weeks. This one came in France again, on what was meant to be her final tune-up before Worlds. Instead of arriving in Montréal on form, she's out before the start.
